UW/Fissure Collector Armor Myth or Reality?
Hi,
I was playing in UW tonight and I spoke to this guy who told me about UW collectors armor. He said that once u clear UW and do ALL QUESTS the Dead Collectors surrender and become normal collectors, giving armor and weapons in exchange for demonic remains and other UW drops.
Now all of this sounds most unlikely, but I havent met one guy who has cleared UW and finished all quests personally. So I believe its a possiblity. I thought this post might clear up some of my doubts since some of the better players in GW visit these forums.
Is there anybody out there who can confirm this to be a myth or reality, cause its hard as hell to clear UW with all quests and I wouldnt mind some views before I gave it a full 7-10 hours try .
Please dont give a yes/no answer if you havent cleared UW personally. Its still a possibility then.
Thanks for ur opinions.
Gotenks.

There is a collector outside of the bottom exit of droknars (well not just outside, but in that general area) that collects demonic reamins...... i think. Probably wrong though

The general scheme of things in GW is such that collectors take stuff that drops around them. Shiverpeak collectors are no exception. There is no collector in shiverpeaks that takes demonic remains, I can say this cause I have checked each of them.
But think about this. GW is a game that allows people to get stuff from collectors at every stage of the game that can compete with stuff you can get in drops or you can buy. Now there is collector armor at 80 AL(armor level) that is droknars armor level. But still there is citadel/grotto armor with same AL but more expensive. Fissure armor or Hero's armor(or something similar that forgemaster dialog box reads) is also at same armor level. So the question is... is the shiverpeak collectors armor the alternative to Fissure armor also because of the same AL? But then what are demonic remains for?
Every area drop has a collector. Perdition rock was an exception. But thats changed now. So the question remains.. what about the drops in UW/FoW? There has to be a collector somewhere. If not, then there should be one in place .

There isn't a collector for some items. Just live with it. I don't see how this belongs in the Ventari's Sell Etc forum anyway.
Demonic remains has to do with the fact that some people think you can salvage ectos from them. I have yet to see evidence of this though.

Yeah, it's just some bullsh*t he made up, or else everyone would have got a glimpse of this armor already.

It used to be where you could salvage remains and possibly get ecto. I think that got nerfed a while back, so I'm not sure why people are still buying them.

there are many, many, many crafting materials that there are not collectors for.
and the value of fissure is not in how much al it has, but in the fact that it costs so much. the game designers introduced 15k armor anf fissure for the sole purpose of being expensive, and making no difference in the quality of your character; ascetics, so why then would they make something that expensive accessable via collectors? and i can assure you it takes far longer to aquire the wealth and materials needed to make fissure, than it would to completly clear the UW. so while i have not done it myself, i can almsot guerentee via logic that this is a total farse.
and out of the many people i know who have fissure, and the many whom i have met that have fissure (for some reason when 2 people who have it meet in a district, its often a topic of conversation), not one has ever claimed to have gotten it from a collector.
i think the guy you were talking too just gets his rocks off by feeding lies to people. it wouldnt be the first time an idiotic rumor was started in a game.

I managed to clear all monuments in UW once with a good team. We did about 5 quests from the monuments and that took about 6-7 hrs and we did the last 2 quests with 6 people and there were still quite a few of those quests remaining. So according to me its hard to get a good group together for that long without someone disconnecting/leaving and actually finishing this task.
I still agree with you that there is a 99% chance of this being an idiotic rumor. But I just thought that for 1% of it being the truth, its worthed to have a post like this. I am just seeking that 1 person who has cleared UW and done ALL Quests to give me an objective answer.
C'mon there has to be someone out there who has done this!

I am not sure about that. All fissure armor looks same(glad/knights/wyvern etc...), so for 1% chance that this armor might exist its likely that it looks the same.
